What to bring Checklist
Your arrival day to Hamilton Island will be either a Monday or Tuesday. Any changes to your arrival date must be communicated with your Recruitment Specialist immediately.
Whilst a number of household items can be purchased when you arrive on the island, you will require some essentials to see you through the first few days before you can get access to the mainland to do some shopping. We have included below a checklist for you to ensure you have packed everything you will require on your arrival to Hamilton Island.
- Photo ID to obtain your Hamilton Island Staff ID. The forms of ID accepted are passport, driver’s licence or 18+ card.
- Details for Payroll so you can be paid – bank account details, tax file number, superannuation details.
- Money – you will need $300 in your bank account or on a prepaid Visa or MasterCard. The island is cashless, so you will need access to card facilities.
- Sleeping essentials – pillow, sheets, pillow slip and doona/duvet or blanket
- Towels – bathroom and beach towel, bath mat
- Cooking utensils – plates, bowls, cups, cutlery, microwave proof dishes, tea towel
- Essential clothing needs:
- Coat hangers
- Appropriate underwear for your uniform, ensuring these fit the standard of our presentation policy
- Socks and shoes as specified for your uniform
- Swimwear
- Clothing and shoes for when you're not working
- Raincoat
- Toiletries
- Personal items – mobile phone, laptop/tablet, hobby and sporting equipment etc.
