If your role involves the sale, supply or service or alcohol, you will need to obtain an RSA certification before arriving to the island.
Click here to view details regarding RSA certification.
In order to be RSA certified in Queensland you must have completed a "Statement of Attainment" in 'Provide Responsible Service of Alcohol- SITHFAB002. This is nationally accredited and does not expire; it must carry the triangular shaped 'Nationally Recognised Training' logo as shown on this page.
However, if you completed RSA training prior to 30 June 2013, your OLGR-approved RSA certificate will expire 3 years from the date of issue. This is due to the change in regulation of training providers from Queensland's OLGR to the Australian Government.
As your position is involved with the sale, service or supply of alcohol, Hamilton Island Enterprises is required to obtain a copy of your certificate for our records.
It is recommended that you obtain this certification prior to your arrival on Hamilton Island through any registered training organisation in your local area or alternatively you can complete the course online through Galaxy training https://galaxytraining.com.au/.
It is company policy that each employee has obtained a Queensland recognised RSA by the completion of their first week of employment.
Should you not have a valid Queensland recognised RSA by this time you will be stood down from work until your RSA course is completed.
If you require any assistance with your course do not hesitate to contact 07 3062 7222 or via email at help@galaxytraining.com.au.
